Currently writing her MA thesis under the supervision of Prof. Pavel Trofimovich, Lin obtained a BA in Business English from Xi’an International Studies University and an MA in English Language and Literature from Shaanxi Normal University, both in her hometown, Xi’an, China. Broadly interested in sociolinguistics, her thesis focuses on how reverse linguistic stereotyping might potentially affect people’s speaking anxiety as well as their speaking performance. Apart from her research, learning new skills (swimming and piano) and new languages (French and Spanish) makes Lin a happier person.
